I was recently contacted by a customer who had some trouble locating someone to tune a 425HP Gen III Hemi crate engine that he installed in a nicely restored ’74 Cuda. Mopar sells their crate engines with an AEM programmable engine management system and brands it as Mopar, but under the covers it’s a slightly modified AEM Universal race EMS that is very similar to the box I run in my personal car. The box came with a base calibration and although it was a close start, it wasn’t exactly “Plug and Play” in this particular application. I helped him get it starting and idling like a stocker and running like it should and overall it was a very fun car to work on. They did a great build on the car and is sure to be lots of fun to drive this summer. Thanks for the opportunity to help you out Joe & Jay!
