Chris Depuy’s Turbo Mustang

Chris Depuy's clean Mustang GT Turbo
Chris Depuy's 93 Mustang

Chris Depuy owns this clean ’93 Mustang with tri-coat Pearl White paint and Roush inspired stripes.  He originally planned to install a stroked Windsor based engine, but ended up building a 302-based turbo motor that would have better street manners and more potential.  Chris and his friends did all of the fabrication and body work, but he employed us to do the engine tuning.

Here’s a rundown of the hard parts:

  • Ford Motorsports 302 block
  • Ported Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads
  • Parker Funnelweb Intake converted to EFI
  • Edelbrock upper-intake elbow
  • Solid roller cam
  • Precision Turbo PT78
  • Custom aluminum exhaust after the downpipe
  • AEM 30-1400 Engine Management System
  • AEM UEGO Wideband
  • AEM Serial Gauge
  • GM LQ4 Truck Coils
  • Custom LambaTuner crank trigger wheel, bracket & cam sensor
Chris did the majority of the work on this car himself, but LambdaTuner helped by getting the car running reliably and created an engine calibration that is easy to drive on the street, gets good fuel economy and is fast when he takes it to the track!
